Question 1– Is Sarda Farms milk fresh?

Answer – Yes, Sarda Farms delivers farm fresh milk to it’s subscribers. The good milk is delivered within hours of milking, in a secured cold chain that retains the goodness and freshness of the milk.

Question 3– Which are the full fat variants of Sarda Farms milk?

Answer -Sarda Farms Pasteurised, Pasteurised & homogenised and A2 Pasteurised & homogenised are full fat variants with a minimum of 3.5% fat.

Question 4– Is Skim millk beneficial for weight loss?

Answer –  Sarda Farms recommends, skim milk for consumers who prefer low fat milk and has no view on the skim milk being beneficial for weight loss.

Question 5- What milk is best suited for kids?

Sarda Farms milk is as pure a milk that you can get and contains all natural nutrition. However, the choice of a milk will depend on the liking of your child. Sarda Farms recommends that you try the milk variants and then make a choice.

Question 6- What milk is best suited for pregnant women?

Sarda Farms milk is 100% pure and without any adulteration or contamination, hence, all variants can be consumed by Pregnant women. However, Sarda Farms strongly recommends that in case of Pregnant women, the doctor’s advice is the best.

Question 7- What milk is best suited for elderly? Unless medically recommended, all variants of Sarda Farms  are  suited to be consumed by elderly. However, if a medical condition exists, it is best to consult the doctor.

THE FARM

Question 1 – What is the size of Sarda Farm and where is it located?

Answer – Sarda Farms is spread across 50 acres and has been built to world standards. It is located in the village of Shenit on the Mumbai-Shirdi road, on Sinnar-Ghoti highway, Igatpuri Taluka, Nashik.

Question 2 – How many cows do you have and what is the breed of the cow?

Answer – Sarda Farms has 1500 Holstein Friesian cows.

Question 3: What facilities are available on the farm?

Answer – Sarda Farms is a world-standard dairy farm which has state-of-the-art amenities and processes to keep the cows comfortable and happy.

Facilities include:

  • Climate controllers to maintain appropriate temperature
  • Soft cow beds for cows to rest
  • Automatic Massage brushes
  • Planned nutritious feed
  • RO purified water
  • Regular check-ups by vet

Question 4: Where is the processing plant of Sarda Farms?

Answer – The milk processing plant of Sarda Farms is in Satpur, Nashik

MILK- PURITY

Question 1 – How is Sarda Farms milk unadulterated?

Answer – Adulteration happens when something is deliberately added to the milk. Sarda Farms ensures nothing is ever added to the milk and the only time anything is extracted is in the case of Skim milk. In Skim milk 99.5% of the fat present in the milk is extracted. This ensures Sarda Farms milk to be always adulteration-free.   Also, throughout the journey, milk travels in safe, sanitised cold chain in tamper evident packaging which preserves the freshness of the milk till your doorstep.

Question 2 – How is Sarda Farms milk free of hormones?

Sarda Farms is strictly against the use of Oxytocin or any other form of hormones in the farm. Sarda Farms’ policy of zero tolerance towards usage of hormones makes the milk free of hormones.

Question 3 – How is Sarda Farms milk free of antibiotics?

Answer – Sarda Farms takes utmost care of the health of the cows on the farm. In a rare case of the cow needing antibiotic treatment due to an ailment, such cows are kept separate and the milk is never mixed with the regular, good milk. Only after the ailing cow has completely recovered, their milk is tested to ensure that there are no traces of the antibiotics and only then is their milk considered as good milk to be provided to Subscribers.

Question 4 – How does Sarda Farms ensure Zero Contamination?Answer – Contamination is when the milk is exposed to an unintentional external source. Sarda Farms pure cow milk is untouched by human, right from milking to processing and packaging. Additionally, all the equipment’s used for processing and transporting the milk is cleaned thoroughly and disinfected before and after, using the best in class protocols to provide Subscribers with 100% Pure, Contamination-free cow milk.

MILK – SAFETY

Question 1 – What is the shelf life of Sarda Farms milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk contains no preservative and hence Sarda Farms advises consumption of the fresh milk within 2 days of receiving, when stored under refrigeration.

Question 2 – Is the milk pack safe for storage & consumption of milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is packed in ultra-high food grade, double strength pack. Hence it is safe for storage & consumption.

Question 3 – Is Sarda Farms packaging tamper evident?

Answer – All packaging of Sarda Farms milk & milk products are tamper evident, i.e. all the products have one or more indicators or barriers to entry which, if breached or missing, can reasonably be expected to provide visible evidence to consumers that tampering has occurred.

For example: The shrink wrap seal on cap of the glass bottle or the plastic seal in the gable top cap.

Question 4 -How does temperature affect Sarda Farms milk quality?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is Pure and without preservatives and hence under non refrigerated conditions the bacterial growth happens rapidly, with increase in temperature, in the good milk. The growth of bacteria depletes the nutrients significantly and leads to smelly odour in the milk. To arrest the bacterial growth, Sarda Farms maintains farm to home cold chain from the time of milking to delivery. This ensures the goodness of milk remains intact till the time you receive the milk.

Question 5- How does use of insulated bag affect the milk quality?

Answer Sarda Farms maintains cold chain throughout the milk journey so that the temperature of the good milk is retained cool and nutrition preserved. In case of a rise in temperature at your doorstep, due to unavailability of doorstep bag the bacteria might multiply within the milk and degrade the nutrition. The use of the insulated doorstep bag preserves the milk of its nutrition.

Question 6: Do you have FSSAI License for your products?

Answer: Yes, all Sarda Farms products have FSSAI License No11519027000585

CHOICES

Question 1– What is the difference between the Glass Bottle/Gable Top and the Milk Pack offering?

Answer – In both the offerings, subscribers receive the good milk from the family farm-Sarda Farms. The primary differences between the offerings is in the packaging, choice of variants & service offering. For more details please click to see  the <offering page>.

Question 2– Can I order for Glass Bottle/Gable top milk and Milk pack simultaneously?

Answer – As on date, simultaneous orders of half litre milk packs and 1 litre Glass bottles / Gable-top cannot be processed simultaneously.

Question 3– Which variant would be most suitable for me?

Answer – Sarda Farms understands that subscribers have varied usages and in order to cater to these usages, Sarda Farms offers 4 variants.Based on the needs and the usage in your households, you can choose from any of the below mentioned variants which are all ready to drink

  • Pasteurised – This is the variant from which cream can be extracted to make ghee. This variant is also suited for making tea, coffee, add to cereals, making dahi, paneer etc.
  • Pasteurised & Homogenised– In this variant, the milk undergoes homogenisation post pasteurisation wherein the fat molecules of the milk are broken down to molecular level & mixed in the milk liquid. As a result, on heating the milk, the cream layer formed on top is quite thinner when compared with the pasteurised variant. This milk tastes creamier and is preferred by people wanting thicker milk. This milk is also good for setting creamier dahi at home.
  • A2 Pasteurised & Homogenised – This variant is similar to the Pasteurised & Homogenised variant. The only difference is the A2 type of protein present in the milk.
  • Skim Milk – In this variant, the fat present in the milk is removed to make it 99.5% fat free. This is preferred by people consuming fat free milk.

Question 4- Which packaging would be most suitable for me?

Answer – Sarda Farms offers the following three packaging options and the subscribers can choose from either of these packaging based on the suitability.

  • The Glass bottle: Apart from its aesthetic value, the glass bottle is considered to be the trusted form of packaging as it’s good for the environment. It is the only widely used food packaging that has been granted the highest standard ‘GRAS’ status by the American FDA. In order to  reuse the bottles, Sarda Farms also collects the empty glass bottles. The bottles are cleaned and re-used in the subsequent milk packaging and deliveries.
  • The Gable top: For people who find it cumbersome to manage glass bottles, the environment friendly Gable top is an ideal solution. The gable top is convenient to store & easy to dispose.
  • The Milk pack: For people who prefer the convenience of half litre packaging, Sarda Farms also provides 500 ml milk in ultra-high food grade double strength pack in pasteurised & homogenised variant.

Question 5 – What are the options of pattern that I can choose from?

Answer-   Sarda Farms allows the milk quantity, milk variant to be customised as per your requirement. Subscribers can create customised pattern for themselves like daily delivery, alternate day delivery, weekly delivery or specific days in the week delivery, with their choice of variant and quantity.

Question 6– What are the modes of payment that Subscriber can choose from?

Answer – The following modes of payment options are available to the subscribers:  

Subscribers of Milk Bottles / Gable top packaging

  • Online payment via, Credit/Debit card, e-Nach through the Sarda Farms website or through the mobile app.,
  • Collection from home Cheque, cash, debit/ credit card (Currently suspended due to COVID-19)
  • Sarda Farms recommends standing instructions for Subscription renewals to eliminate the hassle of periodic manual renewals and uninterrupted milk supply.

Subscribers of Milk pack

  • Have the option of Online payment via, Credit/Debit card or e-Nach through the Sarda Farms website/ mobile app. Renewal will be automatic through standing instructions. Please register with details of your credit/ debit card or e-Nach details on the website / mobile app. Your account will be debited 4 days prior to the last estimated milk delivery.

Question 7 – How can I reach out to Sarda Farms?

 Answer – Sarda Farms Bottle and Gable subscribers can reach out to Sarda Farms through Phone: 1-800-233-6455 (1-800-ADD-MILK) or by email to puremilk@sardafarms.com or by accessing their milk account through the website or mobile app.
Sarda Farms milk pack is an automated system and hence access is only through email to customercare@sardafarms.com or website or via mobile app.

Question 8 – What are the modes of delivery that I can choose from?

Answer – Sarda farms offers the following modes of delivery to their subscribers:

  • Hand Delivery – Sarda Farms’ milk delivery associate will ring the doorbell and deliver the milk to you in person. This is an ideal delivery mode for those who prefer to take the delivery of the milk in person (Only for glass bottle / gable top subscribers)
  • Doorstep Delivery – Subscribers opting for this mode will be provided a specially designed insulated bag which helps maintain the cold chain till the time the milk is collected from the doorstep. The milk delivery associate will deliver the milk in this Insulated bag. This mode is ideal for those who do not want to be disturbed by the doorbell, early in the morning.
  • Doorbell Delivery – Subscribers opting for this mode will be provided a specially designed insulated bag which helps maintain the cold chain till the time milk is collected from the doorstep. The milk delivery associate will ring the doorbell once and deliver the milk in this Insulated bag. This is an ideal delivery mode for subscribers who prefer to be alerted about the milk delivery.

MILK ORDER FLEXIBILITY

Question 1 – Can I ask for more/ less milk for a few days?

Answer – Yes, the milk quantity can be temporarily increased or reduced, within the permissible limits. The permissible limits being 2 times the order of your regular order.

Question 2– Can I pause my milk supply on the go?

Answer – Yes, you can pause your milk supply on the go. To pause the milk supply, you can login to your account on the mobile app or web, select the dates for pause under the ‘Delivery Planner’ section. Alternatively, subscribers can also reach out to the customer care.

Question 3 – Can I view my milk account balance on the go?

Answer – Yes, you can view your milk account balance anytime in ‘Statement’ section by logging on to the website / mobile app.

MILK – SUBSCRIPTION

Question 1 – How do I subscribe to Sarda Farms milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is home delivered, in a farm-to-home cold chain for subscribers. You can subscribe by doing the following:

  • Mobile App – Download the <Sarda Farms mobile app>. You can also download the app from the Play store for Android, and the App store for iOS
  • Website – You can subscribe by clicking on the “Subscribe” button on the top right corner on the website.
  • On Phone – Call the Customer Care toll-free number, 1-800-233-6455 (1-800-ADD-MILK) anytime between 7:00am to 7:00pm. (Only available for Glass bottle or Gable Top subscribers)

Question 2- Are there any additional charges beyond the milk subscription rate?

Answer – There are no additional charges beyond the subscription amount. However, there is nominal on-boarding fee, when a new subscription is activated. This is also applicable when a milk pack subscriber has unsubscribed and wants to restart the subscription.

Question 3- How do I pay for my subscription?

Answer – Glass bottle/Gable top subscribers can pay through the following options:

  • Online Payment: Pay using Credit card/Debit card/Bank transfer on Sarda Farms website or Mobile App.  
  • Home collection: You can contact the customer-care toll free number,1800-233-6455, and request for a Cash/Cheque/Credit card/Debit card collection appointment (Temporarily suspended due to COVID-19)     
  • Standing Instruction – Register for the Standing Instruction (auto-debit) facility either through credit cards or through the e_Nach (net-banking) option and enjoy hassle free renewals

Milk pack subscribers can pay through:

Question 4 – When does the milk supply start?

Answer -Typically, Sarda farms good milk supply starts within 3-4 days, post receiving the payment.

Question 5 – Can I change the milk start date?

Answer – The tentative milk startdate is a system generated date which is subject to payment realisations. However, the subscriber is free to select a date which is later than the tentative date seen in the system.

Question 6– How will I know that my subscription has been accepted?

Answer – The new subscribers would receive a ‘Welcome Email’ from Sarda Farms once the payments are received and updated in the systems. This email has the details of the variant, pattern and the milk start date along with additional details about your new subscription.

Question 7– Will I be kept informed about the upcoming renewal of my subscriptions?

Answer – Yes, subscribers who have opted for the standing instruction facility will be sent a pre-debit reminder SMS. For those who are not registered for the standing instruction facility, the renewal reminders will be done 7-8 days prior to the end date of their current subscription, either via emails, reminder calls or SMS.  (Not applicable for milk pack subscribers).

MILK – DELIVERY

Question 1- When can I expect my milk to be delivered?

Answer – Your milk will be delivered anytime between 5.00am and 7.00am. On your selected milk receiving days.

Question 2 – What is the delivery schedule on holidays?

Answer – Your milk is delivered 7 days a week, 365 days a year, between 5:00 am to 7:00 am, unless there is an exceptional emergency situation. In such an event, Sarda Farms will intimate the subscribes in advance via SMS or an email communication.

Milk PRODUCTS & OFFERS

Question 1 – How can I order for milk product (other than milk) of Sarda Farms?

Answer: Subscribers can email their requirements or call Customer Care to place the order for products like, Dahi, Ghee, or Unsalted Butter.

Question 2 – Can I order for milk products like Dahi/Ghee/ Unsalted Butter  only, without subscribing to Sarda Farms milk?

Answer – Yes, you can subscribe to milk products (like dahi, ghee & unsalted butter) without subscribing for milk.

Minimum subscription quantity for dahi: 10 jars per month

Minimum subscription quantity for unsalted butter: 4 packs per month

Minimum subscription quantity for ghee: 6 litres

Question 3- How can I order for a milk sample for trial?

Answer: Sarda Farms does not provide milk as samples. As, Sarda Farms believes that it is not, always possible to distinguish the quality of Sarda Farms pure milk with other milk available in the market by just 1 litre of sample. Hence, Sarda Farms recommends you subscribe for a minimum subscription of 30 litres and try the product along with the services. In case you are not satisfied with the product / services, you can unsubscribe anytime.

Question 4- Are there any offers / discounts available on Sarda Farms milk subscription?

Answer: Currently there are no ongoing offers on Sarda Farms milk & product subscription.

Question 5- Can I purchase Sarda Farms milk from retail outlets?

Answer: Sarda Farms milk & milk products are available only in a few select stores, like Foodhall & Nature Basket Stores in Mumbai. Since the Sarda Farms main objective is to supply farm fresh pure milk to subscriber homes directly, the availability of the products in retails stores is limited.

ORDER MANAGEMENT

Question 1 – How can I change my pattern?

Answer – Subscribers can do changes in the patterns by logging into their accounts in the mobile app or web under the ‘Delivery Pattern’ section. Subscribers can also send an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com or speak to customer care on the toll-free number, 1-800-233-6455 (1-800-ADD-MILK) and request for the changes to be done. 

Question 2 – How would change in pattern affect my existing subscription?

Answer – Updating your pattern would lead to either increase or decrease of the subscription period.

For example:You have subscribed for 30 litres milk and your order pattern is daily delivery of 1 litre, hence your subscription period was 30 days. But now after consuming 10 litres in 10 days, if you change your pattern to alternate day delivery of 1 litre, your subscription instead of getting over in 20 days would now be over in 40 days. 

Question 3– Is there any restriction on the number of times that a subscriber can change the pattern?

Answer – There are no restrictions on the number of times the pattern changes. However, for error-free deliveries, it is recommended that subscribers plan their pattern and make changes only when necessary.

Question 4 – How can I change the packaging from Glass bottle to Gable Top and vice-a-versa?

Answer – Subscribers are requested to call the toll-free customer-care number or write an email and the changes will be done in the account.

Question 5– Are there different charges for different packaging chosen?

Answer – No, the per litre cost of the milk remains the same for gable top & glass bottle packaging.

Question 6- How can I order for other product (other than milk) of Sarda Farms?

Answer: Subscribers can email their requirements or contact the customer-care to place the order for products like, Dahi, Ghee, or Butter

Question 7 – How will I know that all the changes I have made in my account have been done? Answer – For any changes done by the subscriber on the mobile app/ web or via email or call to the customer-care, the confirmation message will be sent to the registered email id or SMS to the registered contact number.

RENEWALS

Question 1 – Till when is my existing subscription valid?  

Answer -Subscription validity is based on the pattern and plan duration (30day/90day/180day/365day). In the event that, the litres are not consumed within the subscription period Sarda Farms allows a 90 days roll over period to complete your consumption of the balance amount.

For Example: A subscriber has subscribed 60 litres (2 litres daily) on 1st Jan for 30 days of milk supply. If the subscriber is unable to consume the litres within 30th Jan, they are then provided an additional roll over period of 90 days to consume the remaining balance milk. Hence the subscription is valid till 30th April.

 Question 2- If my existing subscription expires and there is remaining balance in the account, will it be carried forward? 

Answer – If you have any balance amount remaining in your account post the validity of your subscription, the amount will get added to your account in the forthcoming renewal. The forthcoming renewal will happen at the prevailing rates and the balance amount carried forward will be adjusted to the plan on which the renewal is done.

For Example: A subscriber has subscribed 60 litres (2 litres daily) on 1st Jan for 30 days of milk supply. The subscription is valid till 30th April. If there are 10 litres available in the account beyond 30th April, the litres count becomes zero. However, the milk balance amount which is remaining is adjusted in the subsequent renewal at the prevailing rates.

Question 3 – How does price revisions affect my existing subscription?

Answer – In case of a price revision, the milk supply will continue at the subscribed cost for the duration of a valid subscription credit. The revised prices will be applicable during the forthcoming renewal and not applicable on the litres already subscribed and paid for.

For example: You have subscribed milk @ Rs 135 for the 90 litres which is expected to be valid for next 2 months. And the price revisions are announced, the balance litres will be delivered to you at the same rate on which you had subscribed, @ Rs 135, and the new prices would be effective only when your subscription is up for next renewal.

Question 4 Will I be kept informed about the upcoming renewal of my subscriptions?Answer – Yes, subscribers who have opted for the standing instruction facility will be sent a pre-debit reminder SMS. For those who are not registered for the standing instruction (auto debit) facility, the renewal reminders will be sent by email 7-8 days prior to the estimated end date of their current subscription.

PAYEMENT & RECEIPTS

Question 1- How do I pay?

Answer – Subscribers of Glass bottle/Gable Top can pay through the following options:

  • Online Payment: Pay using Credit card/Debit card/Bank transfer on Sarda Farms website or Mobile App.  
  • Home collection: You can contact the customer-care toll free number and request for a Cash/Cheque/Credit card/Debit card collection appointment (Temporarily suspended due to COVID-19)     
  • Standing Instruction – Register for the Standing Instruction facility either through credit cards or through the e_Nach (net-banking) option and enjoy hassle free renewals.

Question 2 – What is the benefit of Standing Instruction facility and how do I avail it?
Answer – Standing Instruction facility allows Sarda Farms to auto schedule your subscription renewals. This allows for an uninterrupted milk supply without the hassle of payment reminders. To avail this, you are requested to register the mandate by logging in to your account on the Sarda Farms mobile app or website and go the ‘Manage Subscription’ tab and click on the ‘Update Payment details’. You can then opt for either registering via credit-card option or for net-banking you can select the e-Nach option.

Question 3– How can I change the Standing Instructions registered in my account? 
Answer – Sarda Farms subscribers can login to their account on the mobile app or the website and go the ‘Manage Subscription’ screen and do the necessary changes by clicking on the ‘Update Payment details’ option to change the Standing Instructions.

Question 4 – If I have registered for the Standing Instruction and I want to stop the same, can I do so?

Answer – Subscribers can call on the toll-free customer care number and register your request for the Standing Instructions to be cancelled. You can choose to renew your subscription via a different mode of payment. Alternatively, you can also drop in an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com to stop cancel your Standing Instruction.

Question 5 – How will I know that Sarda Farms is going to auto-debit my account towards the renewal of my subscription?

Answer – All subscribers registered for auto-debit facility will be send a pre-debit SMS informing them about the upcoming debit for Sarda Farms subscription.

Question 6- How can I make a payment towards any Ad-hoc purchase of any other products of Sarda Farms?

Answer – Subscribers can make the payments towards other products either by requesting Sarda Farms to deduct the payment from the existing balance or by logging into their account on the mobile app/ Web,  and going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ option and clicking on the ‘Make Ad-hoc Payment’.

Question 7- How can I view my payment receipts?

Answer – Payment receipts are emailed on the registered email Id to all subscribers. Request you to please check your inbox for the receipts. 

Question 8 – Where can I view my monthly statements?

Answer – The monthly statements can be viewed by logging into your account on the mobile app or web and go to the ‘Statement’ option.

ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

Question 1-What is the process to change my delivery address?

Answer – Change in delivery address needs to be informed 3 to 4 days prior to the date from when you want the milk to be delivered at the new delivery address, by calling the customer care toll-free number (1800-233-6455) between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or by sending an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com  .

Question 2 – How can I change the registered user Id or my contact details of my account?

Answer – Change in user Id or contact details needs to be informed by calling the customer care toll-free number (1800-233-6455) between 7:00am to 7:00pm or by sending an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com. 

Question 3– Can I leave special instructions for delivery?

Answer – Yes, you can leave customised delivery instructions.

For example, if you want the milk to be delivered to the building security/if you want the bottles to be collected from a specific place.

Question 4-Do I have to return the glass bottles? If yes, How?

Answer – Yes, you need to rinse the empty bottle/s in plain water and keep it in the insulated bag for the milk delivery associate to collect the same, on an ongoing basis. In the event, that the empty bottles are accumulated then please call customer care (1800-233-6455) anytime between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm or write an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com and schedule for the collection of empty bottle/s.

Question 5 What if the glass bottle breaks? Will I be charged for broken bottles?

Answer – The glass is environmentally friendly but brittle. Sarda Farms sincerely urges you to handle it with care as broken glass could potentially cause injury. There is a charge for broken bottles and un-returned bottles.

Question 6 -Is there a charge for replacement of the doorstep bag?

Answer – Yes there is a charge for the replacement bag. Subscribers are requested to contact customer-care.

Question 7– How can I unsubscribe my Sarda Farms subscription?

Answer – Subscribers can login to their accounts on the mobile app or the web and go the ‘Manage Subscription’ section and click on the ‘Unsubscribe’ option. The Sarda Farms subscription will be discontinued post the completion of the current subscription. Subscribers can also send an email to puremilk@sardafarms.com or call the customer care toll-free number 1-800-233-6455 between 7:00am to 7:00pm.

Question 8 – Can a subscriber who has stopped the milk subscription renew the account and start the subscription again?

Answer – You can login to your account using your valid login user id credentials and go the ‘Manage Subscription’ option and click on ‘Reactivation’ and renew your account. For any change in your delivery address, you are requested to email the change in the address to the puremilk@sardafarms.com. Sarda Farms will do the necessary address change in your account and send you a confirmation email about the same.

APPOINTMENT FOR VISIT (FARM VISIT / HOME COLLECTION)

Question 1– How can I take the appointment for visiting Sarda Farms?

Answer – Subscribers can visit the Sarda Farms between 3:00 pm to 5:00pm on any day of the week with a prior appointment. To take an appointment to visit the farm, subscribers are requested to send an email at least 4-5 days in advance and the customer care team will confirm the appointment date and timings to email.  Sarda Farms does not entertain walk-in visitors without prior intimation.

Question 2– How can I cancel/reschedule the appointment that I have taken for the farm visit?

Answer – Subscribers can email to puremilk@sardafarms.com or call customer care toll-free number (1800 2336455) between 7:00 am to 7:00pm and inform about the cancellation or the rescheduling of the appointment.

Question 3– How can I take the appointment for Home Collection?

Answer – To take an appointment for Home Collection, subscribers are requested to call the customer care and request to schedule an appointment. Home collection appointments can be scheduled anytime between 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. You can also send an email at least 2-3 days in advance and the customer care team will confirm the appointment date and timings.  (Home collection of payments are temporarily suspended due to COVID-19 )

Question 4 – How can I cancel/reschedule the appointment that I have taken for the home-collection?

Answer – Subscribers are requested to call the customer care team between 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and inform about the cancellation of the appointment at least an hour in advance. You can also inform the customer care executive of the alternate method through which you would like to make a payment.

Question 1– What is the difference between the Glass Bottle/Gable Top and the Milk Pack offering?

Answer – In both the offerings, subscribers receive the good milk from the family farm-Sarda Farms. The primary differences between the offerings is in the packaging, choice of variants & service offering. For more details please click to see the <offering page>.

Question 2– Can I order for Glass Bottle/Gable top milk and Milk pack simultaneously?

Answer – As on date, orders of milk packs and 1 litre Glass bottles / Gable-top cannot be processed simultaneously.

Question 3– Which variant would be most suitable for me?

Answer – Sarda Farms understands that subscribers have varied usages and in order to cater to these usages, Sarda Farms offers 4 variants.Based on the needs and the usage in your households, you can choose from any of the below mentioned variants which are all ready to drink

  • Pasteurised – This is the variant from which cream can be extracted to make ghee. This variant is also suited for making tea, coffee, add to cereals, making Dahi, paneer etc.
  • Pasteurised & Homogenised– In this variant, the milk undergoes homogenisation wherein the fat molecules of the milk are broken down to molecular level & mixed in the milk liquid. As a result, on heating the milk, the cream layer formed on top is quite thinner when compared with   the pasteurised variant. This milk tastes creamier and is preferred to make thicker-shakes, thicker tea / coffee. Ideal for setting creamier dahi at home.
  • A2 Pasteurised & Homogenised – This variant is similar to the Pasteurised & Homogenised variant. The only difference is the type of protein present in the milk is of A2 type.
  • Skim Milk – In this variant, the fat present in the milk is removed to make it 99.5% fat free. This is preferred by people consuming fat free milk.

Question 4- Which packaging would be most suitable for me?

Answer – Sarda Farms offers the following three packaging options and the subscribers can choose from either of these packaging based on the suitability.

  • The Glass bottle: Apart from its aesthetic value, the glass bottle is considered to be the trusted form of packaging as it’s good for the environment. It is the only widely-used food packaging that has been granted the highest standard ‘GRAS’ status by the American FDA. In order to recycle & reuse the bottles, Sarda Farms also collects the empty glass bottles in the subsequent deliveries.
  • The Gable top: For people who find it cumbersome to manage glass bottles, the environment friendly gable top is an ideal solution. The gable top is convenient to store & easy to dispose.

  • Hand Delivery – Sarda Farms’ milk delivery person will ring the doorbell and deliver the milk to you in person.
  • Doorstep Delivery – Subscribers opting for this mode will be provided a specially designed insulated bag which helps maintain the cold chain till the time the milk is collected from the doorstep. The milk delivery associate will deliver the milk in this Insulated bag.
  • Doorbell Delivery – Subscribers opting for this mode will be provided a specially designed insulated bag which helps maintain the cold chain till the time milk is collected from the doorstep. The milk delivery associate will ring the doorbell once and deliver the milk in this Insulated bag.

FLEXIBILITY ( AD-HOC CHANGES)

Question 1 – Can I ask for more/ less milk for a few days?

Answer – Yes, the milk quantity can be temporarily increased or reduced, within the permissible limits. The permissible limits being 2 times the order of your regular order.

Question 2 – Can I get milk delivery on emergency basis?

Answer – Sarda Farms does keep a limited emergency stock in the Gable-Top packaging. The deliveries of the emergency requirements can be time consuming and attracts an additional charge. For emergency delivery request, please call the customer care toll free number before 9:00 am.

Question 3- How would temporarily changing the milk quantity affect the duration of my subscription?

Answer – The delivered quantity will be adjusted against the subscribed quantity, on a daily basis. Based on the changes done in the milk quantity, the last delivery date will change based on the consumption. The deliveries will continue uninterrupted within the subscription validity period. A monthly delivery statement will be available for all subscribers to view on the mobile app or when they login to their account on the website.

For example: A subscriber has chosen a delivery pattern of 1 lt of milk daily for 30 days. The subscription is likely to get over in 30 days. But during the subscription period if the subscriber changes the quantity from 1 lt daily to 2 litres for a specific period, the subscription period is likely to get over sooner.

Question 4 – Can I switch/change my delivery mode?

Answer – Yes, you can switch/change your delivery mode. To do the change, login to your account on the mobile app or web and go to the Delivery modes option and change the mode of your preference. Alternatively, you can also write an email or contact the customer-care toll-free number to change the delivery mode.

Question 5–  Can I switch to a different variant?

Answer – Yes you can change your milk variant. To do the changes, login to your account on the mobile app or web and go to the Add pattern option and change the variant of your preference. Question 6 –  How would change in the milk variant affect my subscription?

Answer – The change in milk variant has no effect on the duration or the subscription amount. A monthly delivery statement will be available for all subscribers to view on the mobile app or when they login to their account on the website.

For example: A subscriber who has subscribed to 1 lt of pasteurised milk daily for 30 days, changes the variant from 1 lt pasteurised milk daily to 1 lt pasteurised & homogenised milk daily. The subscription end date would remain the same, and only the deliveries of the milk will change from pasteurised to pasteurised & homogenised.

Question 7– Can I pause my milk supply on the go?

Answer – Yes, you can pause your milk supply on the go. To pause the milk supply, you can login to your account on the mobile app or web, select the dates for pause under the ‘Delivery Planner’ section. Alternatively, subscribers can also reach out to the customer care.

Question 8 – Can I view my milk account balance on the go?Answer – Yes, you can view your milk account balance anytime in ‘Statement’ section by logging on to the website / mobile app.

Answer – The fat percentage in the skim milk is <0.05% of fat. That is less than 5 grams of fat per litre of Sarda Farms skim milk. Sarda Farms recommends, skim milk for consumers who prefer low fat milk and has no view on the skim milk being beneficial for weight loss.

Question 5- What milk is best suited for kids?

Sarda Farms milk is as pure a milk that you can get and contains  natural nutrition. However, the choice of a milk will depend on the liking of your child. Sarda Farms recommends that you try the milk variants and then make a choice.

Question 6- What milk is best suited for pregnant women?

Sarda Farms milk is 100% pure and without any adulteration or contamination, hence all variants can be consumed by Pregnant women. However, Sarda Farms strongly recommends that in case of Pregnant women, the doctor’s advice is the best.

MILK – PURITY

Question 1 – How is Sarda Farms milk unadulterated?

Answer – Adulteration happens when something is deliberately added to the milk. Sarda Farms ensures nothing is ever added to the milk and the only time anything is extracted is in the case of Skim milk. In Skim milk 99.5% of the fat present in the milk is extracted. This ensures Sarda Farms milk to be always adulteration-free.   Also, throughout the journey, milk travels in safe, sanitised cold chain in tamper evident packaging which preserves the freshness of the milk till your doorstep.

Question 2 – How is Sarda Farms milk free of hormones?

Answer – Sarda Farms is strictly against the use of Oxytocin or any other form of hormones in the farm. Sarda Farms’ policy of zero tolerance towards usage of hormones makes the milk free of hormones.

Question 3 – How is Sarda Farms milk free of antibiotics?

Answer – Sarda Farms takes utmost care of the health of the cows on the farm. In a rare case of the cow needing antibiotic treatment due to an ailment, such cows are kept separate and the milk is never mixed with the regular, good milk. Only after the ailing cow has completely recovered, their milk is tested to ensure that there are no traces of the antibiotics and only then is their milk considered as good milk to be provided to Subscribers.

Question 4 – How does Sarda Farms ensure Zero Contamination?

Answer – Contamination is when the milk is exposed to an unintentional external source. Sarda Farms pure cow milk is untouched by human, right from milking to processing and packaging. Additionally, all the equipment’s used for processing and transporting the milk is cleaned thoroughly and disinfected before and after, using the best in class protocols to provide Subscribers with 100% Pure, Contamination-free cow milk.

MILK – SAFETY

Question 1 – What is the shelf life of Sarda Farms milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk contains no preservative and hence Sarda Farms advises consumption of the fresh milk within 2 days of receiving, when stored under refrigeration.

Question 2 – Is the milk pack safe for storage & consumption of milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is packed in ultra-high food grade, double strength pack. Hence it is safe for storage & consumption.

Question 3 – Is Sarda Farms packaging tamper evident?

Answer – All packaging of Sarda Farms milk & milk products are tamper evident, i.e. all the products have one or more indicators or barriers to entry which, if breached or missing, can reasonably be expected to provide visible evidence to consumers that tampering has occurred.

For example: The shrink wrap seal on cap of the glass bottle or the plastic seal in the gable top cap.

Question 4 -How does temperature affect Sarda Farms milk quality?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is Pure and without preservatives and hence under non refrigerated conditions the bacterial growth happens rapidly, with increase in temperature, in the good milk. The growth of bacteria depletes the nutrients significantly and leads to smelly odour in the milk. To arrest the bacterial growth, Sarda Farms maintains farm to home cold chain from the time of milking to delivery. This ensures the goodness of milk remains intact till the time you receive the milk.

Question 5- How does use of insulated bag affect the milk quality?

Answer Sarda Farms maintains cold chain throughout the milk journey so that the temperature of the good milk is retained cool and nutrition preserved. In case of a rise in temperature at your doorstep, due to unavailability of doorstep bag the bacteria might multiply within the milk and degrade the nutrition. The use of the insulated doorstep bag preserves the milk of its nutrition.

Question 1- When can I expect my milk to be delivered?

Answer – Your milk is delivered 7 days a week, 365 days a year, between 5:00 am to 7:00 am, unless there is an exceptional emergency situation. In such an event, Sarda Farms will intimate the subscribes in advance via SMS or an email communication.

ORDER MANAGEMENT

Question 1 – How can I change my pattern?

Answer – Subscribers can do changes in the patterns by logging into their accounts in the mobile app or web under the ‘Delivery Pattern’ section. Subscribers can also send an email to customercare@sardafarms.com and request for the change to be done. 

Question 2 – How would a change in pattern affect my existing subscription?

Answer – Updating your pattern would lead to either increase or decrease of the subscription period.

For example:You have subscribed for 30 litres milk and your order pattern is daily delivery of 1 litre, hence your subscription period was 30 days. But now after consuming 10 litres in 10 days, if you change your pattern to alternate day delivery of 1 litre, your subscription instead of getting over in 20 days would now be over in 40 days. 

Question 3– Is there any restriction on the number of times that a subscriber can change the pattern?

Answer – There are no restrictions on the number of times the pattern change. However, it is recommended that subscriber plan their pattern and make changes only when necessary.

Question 4 – How can I order for Milk product (other than milk) of Sarda Farms?

Answer: Subscribers can email their requirements at customercare@sardafarms.com to place the order for products like, Dahi, Ghee, or Butter. A confirmation email will be sent confirming receipt of the order and estimated dispatch schedule of the milk products.

Question 5 – How will I know that all the changes I have made in my account have been done?

Answer – For any changes done by the subscriber on the mobile app/ web or via email  to the customer-care, the confirmation email  will be sent to the registered email id or SMS to the registered contact number.

RENEWALS

Question 1 – Till when is my existing subscription valid?  

Answer – Subscription validity period is based on the pattern and plan duration (30day/90day/180day/365day). In the event that, the litres are not consumed within the subscription period Sarda Farms allows a 30 days roll over period to complete your consumption of the balance amount.

For Example: A subscriber has subscribed 60 litres (2 litres daily) on 1st March for 30 days of milk supply. If the subscriber is unable to consume the litres within 30th March , they are then provided an additional roll over period of 30 days to consume the remaining balance milk. Hence the subscription is valid till 30th April.

Question 2- If my existing subscription expires and there is remaining balance in the account, will it be carried forward?  

Answer – If you have any balance amount remaining in your account post the validity of your subscription, the amount will get added to your account in the forthcoming renewal. The forthcoming renewal will happen at the prevailing rates and the balance amount carried forward will be adjusted to the plan on which the renewal is done.

For Example: A subscriber has subscribed 60 litres (2 litres daily) on 1st March for 30 days of milk supply. The subscription is valid till 30th April. If there are 10 litres available in the account beyond 30th April, the litres count becomes zero. However, the milk balance amount which is remaining is adjusted  in the subsequent renewal at the prevailing rates.

Question 3 – How does price revisions affect my existing subscription?

Answer – In case of a price revision, the milk supply will continue at the subscribed cost for the duration of a valid subscription credit. The revised prices will be applicable during the forthcoming renewal and not applicable on the litres already subscribed and paid for.

For example: You have subscribed milk @ Rs 92 for the 90 litres which is expected to be valid for next 2 months. And the price revisions are announced, the balance litres will be delivered to you at the same rate on which you had subscribed, @ Rs 92, and the new revised prices would be effective only when your subscription is up for next renewal.

Question 4– Will I be kept informed about the upcoming renewal of my subscriptions?

Answer – Yes, subscribers who have opted for the standing instruction facility will be sent a pre-debit reminder SMS.

PAYEMENT & RECEIPTS

Question 1- How do I pay?

Answer – Milk pack subscribers can pay through: 

  • Standing Instruction – Register for the Standing Instruction facility either through credit cards or through the e_Nach (net-banking) option and enjoy hassle free renewals

Question 2 – What is the benefit of Standing Instruction facility ?
Answer – Standing Instruction facility allows Sarda Farms to auto schedule your subscription renewals. This allows for an uninterrupted milk supply.

Question 3- How can I change the Standing Instructions registered in my account? 

Answer– Standing Instructions can be registered by either using your credit cards or your net-banking option by selecting the e_Nach. To activate the Standing instruction, you can login to your account on the mobile app or web and go to the ‘Manage Subscription’ option and click on the ‘Update Payment details’. Alternatively, if there is an upcoming renewal you can select the plan on which you want to renew your subscription and also register the mandate while making the payment.

Question 4– If I have registered for the Standing Instruction and I want to stop the same, can I do so?

Answer – Subscribers can login into their account on the mobile app/ web and go to the ‘Manage Subscription’ section and click on the ‘Unsubscribe’. Opting out of Standing Instructions will lead to non-renewal and hence the milk supply will come to a stop. Standing Instruction is compulsory for subscribers who have opted for milk pack.

Question 5– How will I know that Sarda Farms is going to auto-debit my account towards the renewal of my subscription?

Answer – All subscribers registered for auto-debit facility will be sent a pre-debit SMS informing them about the upcoming debit for Sarda Farms subscription.

Question 6 – How can I make a payment towards any Ad-hoc purchase of any other products of Sarda Farms?

Answer – Subscribers can make the payments towards other products either by requesting Sarda Farms to deduct the payment from the existing balance or by logging into their account on the mobile app/ Web,  and going to the ‘Manage Subscription’ option and clicking on the ‘Make Ad-hoc Payment’.

  • Doorbell Delivery – Subscribers opting for this mode will be provided a specially designed insulated bag which helps maintain the cold chain till the time milk is collected from the doorstep. The milk delivery associate will ring the doorbell once and deliver the milk in this Insulated bag.

Question 4 –How can I reach out to Sarda Farms? Answer – Sarda Farms milk pack is an automated system and hence access is only through email to customercare@sardafarms.com or website or via mobile app.

FLEXIBILITY ( AD-HOC CHANGES)

Question 1 – Can I ask for more/ less milk for a few days?

Answer – Yes, the milk quantity can be temporarily increased or reduced, within the permissible limits. The permissible limits being 2 times the order of your regular order.

Question 2- Can I get milk delivery on emergency basis?

Answer – Sarda Farms does not have any emergency stock. All the milk deliveries are done as per scheduled orders between 5:00 am to 7:00 am.

Question 3- How would temporarily changing the milk quantity affect the duration of my subscription?

Answer – The delivered quantity will be adjusted against the subscribed quantity, on a daily basis. Based on the changes done in the milk quantity, the last delivery date will change based on the consumption. The deliveries will continue uninterrupted within the subscription validity period. A monthly delivery statement will be available for all subscribers to view on the mobile app or when they login to their account on the website.

For example: A subscriber has chosen a delivery pattern of 1 lt of milk daily for 30 days. The subscription is likely to get over in 30 days. But during the subscription period if the subscriber changes the quantity from 1 lt daily to 2 litres for a specific period, the subscription period is likely to get over sooner.

Question 4 – Can I switch/change my delivery mode?

Answer – Yes, you can switch/change your delivery mode. To do the change, login to your account on the mobile app or web and go to the Delivery modes option and change the mode of your preference.

Question 5 – Can I pause my milk supply on the go?

Answer – Yes, you can pause your milk supply on the go. To pause the milk supply, you can login to your account on the mobile app or web, select the dates for pause under the ‘Delivery Planner’ section. Alternatively, subscribers can also reach out to the customer care.

Question 6 – Can I view my milk account balance on the go?

Answer – Yes, you can view your milk account balance anytime in ‘Statement’ section by logging on to the website / mobile app.

MILK – NUTRITION

Question 1– Is Sarda Farms milk fresh?

Answer – Yes, Sarda Farms delivers farm fresh milk to it’s subscribers. The good milk is delivered within hours of milking, in a secured cold chain that retains the goodness and freshness of the milk intact.

Question 3 – Is Sarda Farms milk in milk pack suitable for pregnant women, kids and elderly?
Answer –  Sarda Farms milk is 100% pure and without any adulteration or contamination, hence the milk   can be consumed by Pregnant women, elderly and kids. However, Sarda Farms strongly recommends that in case for a pre-existing medical condition please consult a doctor.

Question 1- What is the size of Sarda Farm and where is it located?

Answer – Sarda Farms is spread across 50 acres and has been built to world standards. It is located in the village of Shenit on the Mumbai-Shirdi road, on Sinnar-Ghoti highway, Igatpuri Taluka, Nashik.

Question 2- How many cows do you have and what is the breed of the cow?

Answer – Sarda Farms has 1500 Holstein Friesian cows.

Question 3: What facilities are available on the farm?

Answer – Sarda Farms is a world-standard dairy farm which has state-of-the-art amenities and processes to keep the cows comfortable and happy.

MILK – PURITY

Question 1- How is Sarda Farms milk unadulterated?

Answer – Adulteration happens when something is deliberately added to the milk. Sarda Farms ensures nothing is ever added to the milk and the only time anything is extracted is in the case of Skim milk. In Skim milk 99.5% of the fat present in the milk is extracted. This ensures Sarda Farms milk to be always adulteration-free.   Also, throughout the journey, milk travels in safe, sanitised cold chain in tamper evident packaging which preserves the freshness of the milk till your doorstep.

Question 2– How is Sarda Farms milk free of hormones?

Answer – Sarda Farms is strictly against the use of Oxytocin or any other form of hormones in the farm. Sarda Farms’ policy of zero tolerance towards usage of hormones makes the milk free of hormones.

Question 3– How is Sarda Farms milk free of antibiotic?

Answer – Sarda Farms takes utmost care of the health of the cows on the farm. In a rare case of the cow needing antibiotic treatment due to an ailment, such cows are kept separate and the milk is never mixed with the regular, good milk. Only after the ailing cow has completely recovered, their milk is tested to ensure that there are no traces of the antibiotics and only then is their milk considered as good milk to be provided to Subscribers.

Question 4– How does Sarda Farms ensure zero contamination?Answer – Contamination is when the milk is exposed to an unintentional external source. Sarda Farms pure cow milk is untouched by human, right from milking to processing and packaging. Additionally, all the equipment’s used for processing and transporting the milk is cleaned thoroughly and disinfected before and after, using the best in class protocols to provide Subscribers with 100% Pure, Contamination-free cow milk.

MILK – SAFETY

Question 1 – What is the shelf life of Sarda Farms milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk contains no preservative and hence Sarda Farms advises consumption of the fresh milk within 2 days of receiving, when stored under refrigeration.

Question 2 – Is the milk pack safe for storage & consumption of milk?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is packed in ultra-high food grade, double strength pack. Hence it is safe for storage & consumption.

Question 3 – Is Sarda Farms milk pack tamper evident?

Answer – Sarda Farms Milk pack is tamper-evident. Since the milk pack is of 110 micron hence, manual tampering is not feasible.

Question 4- How does temperature affect the milk quality?

Answer – Sarda Farms milk is Pure and without preservatives and hence under non refrigerated conditions the bacterial growth happens rapidly, with increase in temperature, in the good milk. The growth of bacteria depletes the nutrients significantly and leads to smelly odour in the milk. To arrest the bacterial growth, Sarda Farms maintains farm to home cold chain from the time of milking to delivery. This ensures the goodness of milk remains intact till the time you receive the milk.

Question 5- How does use of insulated bag affect the milk quality?

Answer Sarda Farms maintains cold chain throughout the milk journey so that the temperature of the good milk is retained cool and nutrition preserved. In case of a rise in temperature at your doorstep, due to unavailability of doorstep bag the bacteria might multiply within the milk and degrade the nutrition. The use of the insulated doorstep bag preserves the milk of its nutrition.

MILK – DELIVERY

Question 1- When can I expect my milk to be delivered?

Answer – Your milk will be delivered anytime between 5.00am and 7.00am. On your selected milk receiving days.

Question 2 – What is the delivery schedule on holidays?

Answer – Your milk is delivered 7 days a week, 365 days a year, between 5:00 am to 7:00 am, unless there is an exceptional emergency situation. In such an event, Sarda Farms will intimate the subscribes in advance via SMS or an email communication.
